Since 2 August 2026, the EU AI Act requires chatbots to tell people they are talking to an AI, and deepfakes and certain AI-generated media must be disclosed or marked as such.
We add clear disclosures to assistants and machine-readable marks or visible labels to generated media where required. Artistic and satirical work has lighter rules, but the AI origin still has to be disclosed in a way that does not spoil the work.
