Backups

Updated 30.10.2026 · 1-minute read

A backup is a copy of your files, databases and settings that lets you restore a site after a failure, a hack or a bad update.

Follow the 3-2-1 rule: three copies, on two different kinds of storage, with one kept off the main server. A backup only counts if you have tested restoring from it.
